So what if I wasn't "honest" about it?! No one was supposed to know-- not even you! And besides, I think how things have been recently show that my "dishonesty" about my gender are a lot less important.

Or do you really think that kidnapping and assault are a lot less important than habitual cross-dressing?

You should have at least confirmed it, or you know, spoke a hell of a lot sooner, if you still were going to show interest, so that I could at least say it, instead of having your friend try to "reeducate" me!
